Verizon Launches Self-managed Ads
Advertisers who have accounts with Verizon's SuperPages can now manage
their campaigns themselves. Companies that advertise through SuperPages
can now establish and change their ads though Verizon's self-service program
for a monthly fee of $10.
Verizon expects this new service to appeal to those individuals who are
already using pay-per-click (PPC) programs. The company provides a full-service
option for individuals that are not comfortable with a self-managed program.
Verizon offers its ad service through a partnership with FindWhat.com.
FindWhat provides the hardware for the SuperPages program. Google and
Yahoo have required customers to manage their accounts online since both
of those companies launched PPC programs.
With the Verizon's self-service option, customers pay only the cost of
their click-throughs. Verizon does charge its self-service PPC customers
a monthly minimum of $10. Verizon reviews and approves/disapproves the
editorial submitted by customers when they establish their campaigns in
2 to 5 business days.
